Stopped Blogging

One of my biggest goals for the year 2010 is to have more family time. One of the biggest time "stealers" for me personally is my use on the internet. I have timed it to be about 4-5 hours off and on throughout the day. This needs to change.

I already am part of the Christmas All Year Yahoo Group and am active there. Since it already is a holiday group, you can find posts and such on there from me (I'm Cafe).

Here's the link to that group:

Thanks.

  1. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog today :o)

I can remember when my 3 children were young and I know that I wouldn't have had the time then to spend on the Net as I do now ... I'm thankful that at that time, it wasn't the big thing that it is now or I would have been in trouble :o)

  2. I hear ya...the only way I can do something like a blog, is if it's on a topic that I'm truly passionate about...for example the living frugal and old fashioned. This one that you commented on (Everyday is a Holiday) is a blog that I started last year but wasn't able to keep up with it. It wasn't something that I was truly passionate about. So I stopped blogging on here.

I also gave up using Facebook. I had at one time 3 accounts (2 of which were for just the games on there). I slowly got rid of one at a time...and then I took the big step and got rid of my "main" facebook account. It's nice to know that if I want to take a break from the computer I can. There is now nothing holding me back. When I do blog on my frugal one, usually I have a few posts in one day. My mind is always going. So then I don't feel guilty if I take a day off or two lol. I basically just look at blogs when I am online. I used to be on for an average of 5-7 hours a day when you add it all up. Now I'm on maybe 1/2 hour - 1 hour total.

BTW, I love your blog hehe.
